Nursing at MMINSR SKIMS http://medicaljournalshouse.com/index.php/ADR-Nursing-Education/article/view/1124
Background: Eating practices are dramatically changing around the world and there is a rapid transition in culture due to fastest means of communication. This shift of culture has created a lasting effect in developing cultures of Asia. Emphasis of media on an extra skinny and underweight model as an ideal figure is causing a distress and psychological disruption in eating behavior of young boys and girls. In the whole course of life, we are conditioned to turn to food for pleasure and reinforcement. It is surprising that these reinforcements become hazardous in the college years. The evidence comes from the fact that after obesity and asthma, disordered eating is the most common chronic illness among adolescents and young adults. The study aimed to determine if there was a correlation between two disordered eating behavior and social media.
Objectives: The objectives of the study were to assess the disordered eating behavior among the B.Sc. Nursing students, assess the social media usage among the B.Sc. Nursing students, find out correlation between disordered eating behavior and social media usage among the B.Sc. Nursing students, find out the association between disordered eating behavior and selected demographic variables, find out the association between social media usage and selected demographic variables.
Methodology: A quantitative research approach with correlational descriptive design was used to conduct the study on sample of 100 college students which were selected through stratified sampling technique at MMINSR, SKIMS, Soura. The data was collected through EAT-26 scale and self-structured social media usage scale.
Results: Findings revealed that there is a positive correlation between disordered eating behavior and social media (r=0.720,p <0.0001).
Conclusion: The findings of the study concluded that B.Sc. Nursing students were found to have disordered eating behavior and there was impact of social media on disordered eating behavior. It may be due today’s youth is just imitating what is shown on social media
they trust on what is shown like calorie deficit regime, the models having thin body, the competition to look good. By the use of social media, they had forgot what is healthy and what is disordered eating. Thus, there is impact of social media on disordered eating behavior.

Tikku O, Dar MA, Kour P, Kachroo M, Bashir I,
Haleema A. Female’s expectations for the labor pain often are confirmed by their experience
of childbirth. Anxiety and fear of pain correlate with a higher reported experience of pain. Breathing exercises can help for the mothers to reduce and the mind divert for the labor pain. All pregnant women’s are happy with this news at the end of this journey all women’s having
the fear for the labor pain. Breathing exercise can help for the relive the pain level during the labor.
Materials and Methods: The research design for this study was quasi experimental design. The sample size was 40 ( 20 Experimental and 20 control group) and was drawn through Non-Probability Purposive Sampling Technique. The level of labor pain was assessed by using Wong Baker’s Faces pain rating scale. Modified paced breathing technique was instructed to practice during contractions for 1 hour during active phase for experimental group. Pre-test was assessed before intervention and Post-test done after intervention for both group. The data gathered were analyzed by descriptive and inferential statistical method.
Result: The mean post-test score on level of pain during first stage of labor in experimental group was 5.5, but in control group it was 8.35. calculated t” value was 6.007 which is more than the table value at 5% significance. It was statistically significant at 5% (p<0.05). It shows that Modified paced breathing technique is effective in reduction of pain during first stage of labor. Hence, the research hypothesis (H1) is accepted. There is significant association between demographic variables. Hence, the research hypothesis(H2) is accepted.
Conclusion: This study finding revealed that Modified paced breathing technique helps in reducing the level of pain among mothers in the experimental group. So this can be practiced as a Non- pharmacological method to relieve pain during labor in various settings.

How to cite this article:
Chavda A, Parmar N. If organizational management or leadership takes this important issue into consideration, it should put a great deal of emphasis on HR development in goal setting and attainment of its organizational goals, strategies, and policies.

An important managerial controlling responsibility is determining how well employees carry out the duties of their assigned jobs. This is done through performance appraisals, in which work performance is reviewed. Performance appraisals let employees know the level of their job performance as well as any expectations that the organization may have of them. Performance appraisals also generate information for salary adjustments, promotions, transfers, disciplinary actions, and terminations.

None of the manager’s actions is as personal as appraising the work performance of others. Indeed, next to disciplining an employee, performance evaluation is likely the most dreaded task a manager faces. Because work is an important part of one’s identity, people are very sensitive to opinions about how they perform. when a supervisor becomes an ‘expert’ on a worker’s performance, employees will often become resistant or even defensive. However, creating a positive environment, involving the employee in the process and discussing performance goals can help mitigate some of the challenges of performance evaluations.

Indeed, when used correctly, performance appraisal can be one of the greatest tools an organization has to develop and motivate staff. It can also encourage staff and increase retention and productivity; however, in the hands of an inept or inexperienced manager, the appraisal process may significantly discourage and demotivate workers.

In addition, because a manager’s opinions and judgments are used for far-reaching decisions regarding the employee’s work life, they must be determined in an objective, systematic, and formalized manner as possible. Using a formal system of performance review reduces, but does not eliminate, the appraisal’s subjectivity. In addition, the more professional a group of employees is, the more complex and sensitive the evaluation process becomes. The skilled leader-manager who uses a formalized system for the appraisal is better able to build a team approach to professional work.

How to cite this article:
Bhat AA, Amin N.
